Gypsum imports via Kolkata more than double in Oct m-o-m

November 11: Import volumes of gypsum via Kolkata port more than doubled to 176 tons against 81 tons reported in September 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In October 2013, 102 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 8,666 ($139) per ton, 1.2 tons arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of ($174) and around 73 tons arrived from Thailand at a price range of Rs 6,886-Rs 18,692 ($110-$300) per ton.

In September 2013, the entire amount has been imported from Iran at Rs 6,331 ($99) per ton.
