Gypsum imports via Kolkata port fall 47.41% in Sept m-o-m

October 28: Imports of gypsum via Kolkata port fell sharply by 47.41% to 81 tons in September 2013 compared to 154 tons imported in August 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In September 2013, the entire amount has been imported from Iran at Rs 6,331 ($99) per ton.

In August 2013, around 81 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 5,641 ($91), around 4 tons arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 9,814 ($164), 50 tons came from Thailand for Rs 6,795 ($$103) per ton, 19 tons came from the US in a rage of Rs 15,958 – Rs 93,504 ($259-$1519) per ton.
