Gypsum imports via Kolkata rise to 160 tons in March

April 15: Import volumes of gypsum via Kolkata Port were at 160 tons in March 2014 against a negligible 3 tons reported in February 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In March, 135 tons arrived from Iran at a unit price of Rs 5,996 ($95), 3 tons from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 8,499 ($138) and the balance 23 tons from Thailand at Rs 17,590 per ton ($285) per ton.

In February, the consignment arrived from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 8,560 ($136).
