Gypsum imports via Kolkata spurt to 1,036 tons in Dec

January 16: Import volumes of gypsum via Kolkata Port spurted to 1,036 tons in December 2014 against 375 tons seen in November 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2013, volumes were at 134 tons.
Imports for the first nine months of the current fiscal were at 4,054 tons against a volume of 4,155 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.

In December, 369 tons arrived from Saudi Arabia at a unit price of Rs 7,173 ($115) per ton and 324 tons from UAE in a band of Rs 6,146 – 9,299 ($96-146) amongst others.
In November, imports comprised 100 tons from Thailand at Rs 6,452/ton ($104) per ton, 84 tons from China at a unit price of Rs 1,7931 ($286), amongst others.
