Gypsum imports via Mundra Port at 1,011 tons in Aug

September 23: Gypsum imports via Mundra Port stood at 1,011 tons during the month of August 2014 while the figure stood at 28,594 tons during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In August 2014, 506 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,671-Rs 3,673 ($59) per ton, 205 tons from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,239-Rs 8,320 ($135) per ton whereas the balance 300 tons came in from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 8,370 ($135-$137) per ton.

However, in July 2014, 98 tons came from China at a price of Rs 37,101 ($611) per ton, 540 tons came from Iran at a price of Rs 3,470 ($57) per ton, 27,815 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 1,548-Rs 8,085 ($26-$135) per ton whereas 141 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 8,133-Rs 8,165 ($135) per ton.
