Gypsum imports via Mundra Port at 25,864 tons in June

July 18: Gypsum imports via Mundra Port stood at 25,864 tons during the month of June 2014 whereas the figure stood at 491 tons during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In June 2014, 54 tons came from Egypt at a price of Rs 9,767 ($163) per ton, 395 tons came in from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,487-Rs 3,619 ($58-$60) per ton, 25,213 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 1,487-Rs 8,051 ($25-$135) per ton while the rest of 203 tons came in from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 7,981-Rs 8,133 ($132-$136) per ton.

However, during May, 135 tons came from Iran at a price of Rs 3,480 ($58) per ton, 256 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 7,627-Rs 8,186 ($125-$135) per ton while the balance 100 tons came in from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 8,235 ($135) per ton.
