Gypsum imports via Mundra almost treble in March m-o-m

April 15: Imports of gypsum via Mundra Port stood at 1,337 tons during March 2014, up almost thrice from 465 tons reported in February, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During March 2014, 540 tons arrived from Iran at a price of Rs 3,072 ($50) per ton, 451 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,307-Rs 8,468 ($135) per ton while the balance 346 tons arrived from Saudi Arabia in a price range of Rs 8,307-Rs 8,519 ($135-$137) per ton.

On the other hand, in February 2014, 369 tons came in from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,367-Rs 8,625 ($135-$137) per ton while the balance 96 tons came in from Thailand at Rs 12,666 ($201) per ton.
