February 17: Imports of gypsum through Mundra Port stood at 755 tons in January 2014, sharply down 29.17% from 1,066 tons imported during the month of December 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In January 2014, 540 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,285-Rs 3,469 ($53-$56) per ton, 13 tons came from Italy at a price of Rs 10,424 ($168) per ton while 203 tons came from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,367-Rs 8,554 ($135-$137) per ton.
However, during December 2013, 461 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,459-Rs 4,465 ($55-$71) per ton, 195 tons came from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,733-Rs 8,810 ($140) per ton while 410 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 8,775-Rs 8,831 ($140) per ton.
