Gypsum imports via Mundra up sharply in August m-o-m

September 6: Imports of gypsum through Mundra port stood at 915 tons in August 2013, up sharply from 27 tons during the month of July 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During August 2013, 212 tons came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,540-Rs 4,578 ($54-$74) per ton, 195 tons came from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,748-Rs 8,782 ($142) per ton while 508 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 8,586-Rs 8,693 ($133-139) per ton.

However, in July, the material came from Egypt at a price of Rs 10,964 ($185) per ton while in June, the entire material came from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,261-Rs 4,006 ($57-$70) per ton.
