Gypsum imports via New Mangalore at 27 tons in March

April 16: Imports of gypsum via New Mangalore Port stood at only 27 tons during March 2014, sharply down from 55,000 tons imported during the preceding month of February, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During March, the entire quantity came in from Iran at a price of Rs 5,358 ($87) per ton whereas in February, the material had arrived from Oman at Rs 1,463 ($23) per ton.
