HZL floats NIT for 0.2 mt imported coal

May 07: Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), a Vedanta Group company, has floated an enquiry to procure 0.2 million tons of imported coal for loading between June and July 2014, a company official said.

“We are in the market to procure coal of Indonesian/Colombia/US/Australian/any other origin,” the official said.

The offers can be submitted on or before May 8 with a validity of minimum three working days, he said.

HZL is looking to procure coal with GCV (ARB) of more than 5700 Kcal/kg, TM of less than 12%, Ash content of less than 25%, Sulphur of less than 3.5%.

The discharge port would be Navlakhi on the west coast of India.
