HZL in market for 0.2 mt of imported coal

September 1: Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), a Vedanta Group company, has floated a new notice inviting tender (NIT) to procure 0.2 million tons (mt) of imported coal for loading laycan September-October, 2014.

The last date for submission of bids was September 1, 2014. However, this is expected to be extended by a week, according to information available with ICMW.

HZL is looking to procure coal with GCV (ARB) of more than 5,700 Kcal/kg, TM of less than 12%, ash content of less than 25% and sulphur of less than 3.5%.

The discharge port would be Navlakhi on the west coast of India.
