Haldia Dock coal handling up 8% in Sept m-o-m

October 29: Coal handling at the Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) stood at 832,000 tons in September 2014, up 7.91% from 771,000 tons handled during August, a senior port official told ICMW.

During September 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 651,000 tons.

During the first six months (April-September) of 2014-15, total coal handled at the port stood at 4,375,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 5,253,000 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
