Haldia port November coal handling rises 19.20% m-o-m

December 28: Handling of coal (coking, non-coking, met coke, r p coke) by Haldia port (Haldia Dock Complex) stood at 1,130,000 tons in November 2015, showing a rise of 19.20% from 948,000 tons handled in October 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.
Similarly, during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 9,445,000 tons, showing a rise of 43.00% from 6,605,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
Likewise, handling of coal by the port in November 2014 stood at 1,032,000 tons, which shows that handling was up 9.50% y-o-y.
On the other hand, handling of coking coal by Haldia port stood at 388,000 tons in November 2015, showing a fall of 38.61% from 632,000 tons handled in October 2015.
Similarly, during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, coking coal handling by this port stood at 4,392,000 tons, showing a rise of 23.72% from 3,550,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
Likewise, handling of coking coal by the port in November 2014 stood at 529,000 tons, which shows that handling was down 26.65% y-o-y.
Meanwhile, handling of non-coking coal by Haldia port stood at 701,000 tons in November 2015, showing a sharp rise of 149.47% from 281,000 tons handled in October 2015.
Similarly, during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, non-coking coal handling by this port stood at 4,541,000 tons, showing a rise of 70.78% from 2,659,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
Likewise, handling of non-coking coal by the port in November 2014 stood at 474,000 tons, which shows that handling was up 47.89% y-o-y.
On the other hand, handling of met coke by Haldia port stood at 41,000 tons in November 2015, showing a rise of 17.14% from 35,000 tons handled in October 2015.
Similarly, during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, met coke handling by this port stood at 430,000 tons, showing a rise of 43.81% from 299,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
Likewise, handling of met coke by the port in November 2014 stood at 29,000 tons, which shows that handling was up 41.38% y-o-y.
Meanwhile, there was no handling of rp coke by Haldia port in November 2015, although 18,000 tons handled in October 2015.
Similarly, during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, rp coke handling by this port stood at 82,000 tons, showing a fall of 15.46% from 97,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
However, there was no handling of rp coke by Haldia port in November 2014.
