Haldia port’s December coal handling up 8.32% m-o-m

Handling of coal (coking, non-coking, met coke, R P coke) by Haldia Dock Complex of Kolkata Port stood at 1,224,000 tons in December 2015, showing a rise of 8.32% from 1,130,000 tons handled in November 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.
Similarly, during the first nine months (April-December) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 10,669,000 tons, showing a rise of 32.96% from 8,024,000 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
On y-o-y basis, coal handling in December 2015 was down 13.74% compared to 1,419,000 tons handled in December 2014.
