Henan Jan-Jul coal output down 11.9% on y-o-y

Henan province, one major coal producer in central China, produced 71.96 million tonnes of raw coal over January-July this year, down 11.91% year on year, showed data from the Henan Administration of coal mine Safety on August 14.
During the same period, key mines – owned by the provincial government or branches of central government-owned companies – produced 68.22 million tonnes of raw coal, a drop of 12.5% year on year.
The output from local mines – owned by governments at the prefecture and lower levels and private operators – edged up 0.52% on year to 3.75 million tonnes.
The administration didn’t publish the output figures for July.
Calculations showed output in July stood at 10.35 million tonnes, up 0.5% on month but down 13.7% on year.
Output from key mines stood at 9.68 million tonnes or 93.5% of the total in July, up 0.83% from June but down 14.03% year on year; while output from local mines dropped 3.82% from June and down 9.5% on year to 670,000 tonnes.
