September 26: Fair demand was witnessed in August 2014 for G-10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as 153,360 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 163,410 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,470 per ton.
However, strong demand was witnessed in July 2014 for G-10 grade coal offered by CCL as 22,460 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 22,500 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,239 per ton.
In June, more or less fair demand was witnessed for this grade offered by SECL, CCL and NCL for allotment as 210,000 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 270,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,295 per ton.
