High demand for G-11 grade coal in July e-auction

August 29: Very strong demand was witnessed in July 2014 for G-11 grade (GCV 4,001 to 4,300 Kcal/kg) coal offered by SECL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 42,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,723 per ton.
However, a slightly lower demand was witnessed in June 2014 for G-11 grade of coal offered by SECL, CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the out of an offered quantity of 415,000 tons, 405,350 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,116 per ton.
On the other hand, strong demand was witnessed in May 2014 for this grade offered by CCL and SECL for allotment through the same platform as the out of an offered quantity of 400,000 tons, 398,950 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,110 per ton.
