April 23: There was good demand for G-9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered through the MSTC platform in March 2014 by CCL and WCL, as out of the 227,800 tons offered, 217,470 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,113 per ton.
However, there was poor demand for G-9 grade coal offered through the MSTC platform in February 2014 by CCL and WCL, as out of the 288,250 tons offered, 80,040 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,225 per ton.
On the other hand, there was good demand for G-9 grade coal offered through the MSTC platform in January 2014 by CCL, MCL and WCL, as out of the 509,350 tons offered, 487,350 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,754 per ton.
