Strong demand was witnessed in the e-auction of G10 grade coal (GCV range of 4,301 - 4,600 Kcal/kg) on the coaljunction platform in February 2016 as out of the entire offering of 350,000 tons by CCL, MCL and SECL, 230,000 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,599 per ton, according to data available with ICMW
However, there was no demand for G10 grade coal on coaljunction in January 2016, as there were no bids for the 20,000 tons offered by CCL.
On the other hand, strong demand was witnessed for G10 grade coal offered by SECL, WCL and CCL for allocation through coaljunction in December 2015, as out of the entire offering of 375,000 tons, 357,840 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,576 per ton.
