September 2: There was a high demand witnessed for G5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in August 2014 as out of 72,950 tons offered, 72,935 tons or 99.98% got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,521/ton
In fact, there was excellent demand for G5 grade coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in July 2014 as out of 256,415 tons offered, 256,345 tons or 99.97% got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,012/ton.
However, in June, there was fair demand for this grade on the same platform as out of 46,650 tons offered, 42,020 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,597/ton.
