November 6: A good demand was witnessed for the coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of coaljunction during the month of October, 2013 and realisations were higher compared to September auction.
During October, a total of 128,700 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 91,450 tons or 71.06% got allotted attracting a low premium ranging from 0-45%.
The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,728/ton compared to the weighted price of Rs 2,483 per ton in September when
a total of 98,000 tons of coal was offered for allotment and 90,125 tons or 91.96% got allotted.
On the other hand, in August 2013, a total of 82,700 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 67,871 tons or 82.07% got allotted attracting a low premium ranging from 0-31%. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,676/ton.
