December 4: Good demand was witnessed for coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through e-auction of coaljunction during November, 2013 and realisations were higher compared to the October auction.
In November, a total of 92,000 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 82,000 tons or 89.13% got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,793/ton.
However, during October, a total of 128,700 tons of coal was offered for allotment out of which 91,450 tons or 71.06% got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,728/ton compared to the weighted price of Rs 2,483 per ton in September when a total of 98,000 tons was offered for allotment and 90,125 tons or 91.96% got allotted.
