Hind Rectifiers bags Rs 26.56-cr order from Railways

September 19: Hind Rectifiers, a company engaged in designing and manufacturing of industrial power electronics and power conversion devices, announced orders worth Rs 26.56 crore from Indian Railways, the company said in a statement.
The company, which has been associated with Indian Railways from the past few decades and has even pioneered a few products for Indian Railways, has received an order for a total of 100 static convertersfor the value of Rs 19.21 crore each of 180 KVA from Chittaranjan Loco Works (CLW) and an order for 169 ‘Alternator Mounted Rectifier’ for the value of Rs 7.35 crore from Diesel Loco Modernisation Works (DMW).
S. K. Nevatia, Chairman & MD, Hind Rectifiers, said, “These are milestone orders for us since each of them marks the placing of a complete order for electrical power supply by Indian Railways on a single vendor.”
“We have twice been chosen as a single vendor for the ‘Alternater Mounted Rectifier’, once for the ‘180 KVA Static Converter’ and once for the ‘25 KVA Inverter’, which conveys our customer’s confidence in our product quality and delivery. Our order book is currently at Rs 95.30 crore and we look forward to many such orders in the future” he added.
