Hindustan Zinc floats tender for 0.3 mt imported coal

March 23: Hindustan Zinc Limited, a Vedanta Group company, has floated a tender inviting offers from suppliers to procure 300,000 tons of imported steam coal of Indonesian/ US/Columbian/Australian origin.

The company is looking for loading laycans between April and May 2015 and for unloading at Navlakhi Port on the west coast of India in geared Supramaxes or gearless Panamaxes or Capesize vessels.

The last date for submission of offers is March 24, 2015. The offers must be valid for four working days from the date of submission.

The desired specification of imported coal is GCV (ARB) of 5,500 Kcal/kg (Min), TM- 15% (Max), ash content – 25% (max), sulphur – 3.5% (max), HGI – 42-55%.
