IOCL starts loading of pet coke via rakes from Koyali

December 30: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) started despatches of petroleum coke through railway rakes from its Koyali refinery near Baroda, in November, an industry source said.

"The company had, so far, been despatching pet coke only through truckloads as it did not have a rake loading facility," the source said.

"The rake loading facility was started only in November and a total of three rakes have been loaded. Of the three that were loaded during the month, one had gone to Birla Cement's Chittorgarh plant and one each to Vikram Cement and Vasavdatta Cement (Wadi), both Aditya Birla Group company plants," the source added.
