Imported coal stocks at 17 ports dip 4% w-o-w: InterOcean

Stocks of imported coal at 17 ports stood at 12.12 million tons (mt) on June 9, 2016, down 4.19% compared to 12.24 mt as on June 2, 2016, according to data compiled by shipping company InterOcean.
On a month-on-month basis, the stocks of imported coal at these ports decreased by 3.19% compared to 12.52 mt on May 12, 2016.
The data revealed that, on a week-on-week basis, the stock at 4 ports increased on June 9 as compared to June 2 levels, but remained unchanged at 3 ports and declined a bit at another 10 ports.
The 4 ports where stocks of imported coal increased, according to InterOcean, are Bhavnagar, Magdalla, Kakinada and Haldia.
The ports where stocks remained unchanged are Gangavaram, Karaikal and Mumbai.
The 10 ports where imported coal stocks showed a marginal decline are Kandla, Muldwarka, Pipavav, Dahej, Goa, Mangalore, Tuticorin, Krishnapatnam, Vizag and Paradip.
