Imported coal stocks at 9 ports dip 2.30% w-o-w

Imported coal stocks at nine ports stood at 8.25 mt as on April 8, 2016, down 2.30% from 8.44 mt as on April 1, 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The compiled ports were Mumbai, New Mangalore, Haldia, Marmagoa, Paradip, Vizag, Krishnapatnam, Dhamra and Pipavav.
The highest volume of coal stocks was available at Paradip Port, at 2.13 mt, as on April 8, 2016, down 4.87% down from 2.24 mt on April 1. At Krishnapatnam Port, the stocks edged down to 1.65 mt on April 8 from 1.70 on April 1.
Coal stocks at Pipavav Port decreased 4.69% to 0.61 mt on April 8 as against 0.64 mt on April 1. A 5.68% increase was noticed at Marmagoa Port at 0.46 mt on April 8, from 0.44 mt on April 8. The coal stocks at Mumbai Port remained unchanged at 0.04 mt.
