Imported coal stocks at nine ports stand at 8.4 mt

December 1: India’s imported coal stocks at nine ports stood at 8.40 mt as on November 27, 2015. The compiled ports were Mumbai, New Mangalore, Haldia, Marmagoa, Paradip, Vizag, Krishnapatnam, Pipavav and Dhamra.
The same for eight ports were at 7.11 mt as on November 20, according to provisional data available with ICMW. As last week the figures from Dhamra Port were not available, the comparison between two weeks becomes irrelevant.
The highest volume of coal stocks were available at Paradip Port. It stood at 2.36 mt as on November 27, up 14.07% from 2.07 mt in November 20. At Krishnapatnam Port the stocks remain flat at 2.02 mt. Around 12.42% growth was noticed at Haldia Port this week to 1.10 mt from 0.98 mt.
Coal stocks at Pipavav Port decreased 17.14% to 0.14 mt in November 27 from 0.17 mt in November 27. The stocks also decreased marginally from last week.
