Imported coal stocks rise at Paradip Port

April 29: Stocks of imported coal at Paradip Port on the eastern coast of India, rose on April 29 as compared to the scenario on April 15, a port official said.
The stocks of imported coal at the port rose to 1.366 million tons (mt) as on April 29 from 1.251 mt recorded on April 15.
Stocks of imported coal at the port stood at 1.168 mt on March 26.
Of the total stocks lying at the port as on April 29, 0.582 tons comprised steam coal and 0.784 tons, coking coal.
On April 15, steam coal stocks stood at 0.527 mt and coking coal at 0.724 mt whereas on March 26, 0.484 tons comprised steam coal and 0.684 tons, coking coal.
Out of the total steam coal lying at the port on April 29, Adani had stocks of 166,000 tons, Bhatia, 94,000 tons and JSPL, 3,000 tons whereas on April 15, Adani had stocks of 156,000 tons, Bhatia, 95,000 tons and JSPL, 3,000 tons.
Out of the total stocks of coking coal as on April 29, SAIL had 176,000 tons, Tata Steel 40,000 tons and Visa had 46,000 tons whereas on April 15, SAIL had 134,000 tons, Tata Steel 90,000 tons and Visa, 5,000 tons.
