November 30: After a one-month gap, imports of met coke resumed via New Mangalore Port with 13,005 tons in October 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
A volume of 6,959 tons of met coke had been imported via this port in October 2014.
Total met coke imports through the port during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015-16 stood at 257,733 tons against 200,716 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of met coke through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 310,460 tons.

In October 2015, out the entire material, 13,000 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 9,901-Rs 10,022 ($152-$153) per ton and 5 tons came from Ukraine at a price of Rs 9,446 ($145) per ton.
