Imports of pet coke via Mundra at 24 tons in Nov

December 23: Imports of pet coke via Mundra port fell sharply to only 24 tons during November 2013 as compared to 60,538 tons in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Total imports of pet coke in the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal stood at 114,791 tons whereas the figure was at only 48 tons for the same period in the previous financial year.

Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Mundra port in 2012-13 and 2013-14 (in tons):

During November, the entire quantity came from Germany at a price of Rs 47,467 ($750) per ton whereas in October 2013, the entire material came from the US at a price range of Rs 6,180-Rs 6,216 (99-$100) per ton.
