Imports of pet coke via Mundra falls 50% in August

September 9: Imports of pet coke via Mundra port in August 2013 stood at 9 tons against 18 tons recorded in July 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Total imports of pet coke in the first five months of the current fiscal stood at 54,199 tons whereas the figure was at 36 tons for the same period in the previous financial year.

Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Mundra port in 2012-13 and 2013-14 (in tons):

During August 2013, the entire quantity came from United Kingdom at a price of Rs 58,411 ($944) per ton whereas in July 2013, the entire quantity came from UK at a price range of Rs 55,298-Rs 55,891 ($924-$927) per ton.
