India’s FY15 coal production up 8.28% y-o-y

April 28: India’s coal production during 2014-15 stood at 612.58 million tons (mt), up 8.28% from 565.77 mt recorded in 2013-14, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
However, production during 2014-15 was lower from the target of 630.25 mt set for the year.
In March 2015, India’s coal production stood at 69.20 mt, up 5.97% from 65.30 mt in March 2014.
India’s coal output for the month of March was 102% of the target of 67.84 mt, data revealed.
On a month-on-month basis, production in March 2015 rose 18.61% from 58.34 mt produced in February 2015, data revealed.
