India’s November coal production up 7.08% m-o-m

December 28: After a double digit growth in October, India’s coal production in the month of November 2015 stood at 56.59 million tons (mt), up 7.08% from 52.85 mt reported in October 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In November 2015, India’s coal production was up 3.61% from 54.62 mt recorded in the same month a year ago (November 2014).

Production target for the month of November 2015 was 62.34 mt while the same for the entire year of 2015-16 stands at 700 mt.

India’s coal production in the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16) stood at 385.36 mt, up 4.46% from 368.90 mt recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal.

During the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), India’s coal production was 89.76% of the targeted 429.33 mt set for the period.
