India’s November coking coal output up 10.34% m-o-m

December 28: India’s coking coal production in November 2015 was at 4.91 million tons (mt) compared to 4.45 mt in October 2015, up 10.34% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
India’s coking coal production in November 2015 was up 2.72% from 4.78 mt recorded in the same month of last year (November 2014).
Production target for the month of November 2015 was 5.00 mt, while the same for 2015-16 is 58.88 mt.
Coking coal production in the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16) stood at 36.59 mt, 3.45% higher than 35.37 mt recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal.
November coking coal production by CIL stood at 4.33 mt against 4.24 mt in the same month of the previous year (November 2014).
CIL’s November coking coal output was 98.19% of the target of 4.4 mt set for the month. The contributions of five CIL subsidiaries were 2.61 mt from BCCL, 1.7 mt from CCL, 0.01 mt from WCL and 0.01 from SECL.
