India’s imported coal stocks at 9 ports dip w-o-w

April 14: India’s imported coal stocks at nine ports – eight major and one private –fell slightly on April 10 compared to that in the previous week (on April 3), as stocks at various ports changed a little, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
India’s imported coal stocks as on April 10 stood at 8.099 million tons (mt) against a volume of 8.135 mt recorded on April 3.
On April 10, coal stocks at Paradip Port stood at 2.874 mt against a volume of 2.818 mt recorded on April 3. Of the total coal stocks at the port on April 10, non-coking coal stood at 1.526 mt while the share of coking coal was 1.348 mt, both up from 1.518 mt and 1.300 mt, respectively from that on April 3.
Imported coal stocks at Mundra Port as on April 10 increased slightly to 0.500 mt from 0.450 mt recorded in the week before. Of the total coal stocks at the port, steam coal stocks rose slightly to 0.310 mt from 0.300 mt recorded on April 3 while coking coal stocks at the port remained almost at the same level of 0.170 mt.
Imported coal inventories at Kolkata Port and Vizag Port as on April 10 remained at their previous levels of 0.802 mt and 1.500 mt respectively.
