Indian Railways’ Apr-Nov revenues up 13% y-o-y

December 9: The total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during April-November, 2014 stood at Rs 100,622 crore, registering an increase of 12.63% as compared to Rs 89,341.26 crore during the same period last year, a government release said.

In fact, the total approximate earnings from goods during this April-November period stood at Rs 67,130.96 crore as compared to Rs 60,144.16 crore earned during the same period last year, recording an increase of 11.62%.

On the other hand, revenue earnings from passengers during the period were at Rs 28,510.24 crore, up 16.26% from Rs 24,523.71 crore recorded during the corresponding period last year.
