Indian Railways FY15 freight loading up 4.18% y-o-y

April 10: Indian Railways carried 1,097.57 million tons (mt) of revenue earning freight traffic during 2014-15, up 4.18% (or 44.02 mt) from 1,053.55 mt actually carried during the last fiscal.

Freight loading by Indian Railways for the month of March increased 1.07% or 1.08 mt to 101.57 mt against a volume of 100.49 mt in the same month a year ago, an official release said.
