Indian refiners maintaining ‘comfortable’ stock of pet coke

Almost all Indian refineries that produce petroleum coke is producing normal quantities of the material and are also maintaining a comfortable stock, industry sources said.

Reliance Industries Ltd, the largest producer of pet coke in the country is producing around 550,000 to 600,000 tons of pet coke monthly, which is around its peak rated capacity, they said, adding, the situation is more or less similar with Essar Oil.

As far as stock levels are concerned, the sources said, both RIL and Essar are maintaining decent stock of about 4-5 days.

“It is good that the availability of the material is comfortable,” they added.
