Inner Mongolia Ordos July coal sales up 2.6% y-o-y

Coal-rich Ordos in the northern autonomous region of Inner Mongolia sold 43.82 million tonnes of coal in July, rising 2.6% year on year and up 7.1% from June, the latest official data showed.
Of this, sales of local mines -- owned by the prefecture and lower-level governments and private mines – stood at 32.1 million tonnes, rising 8.1% on year and up 7.6% on month. coal sales of Shenhua Group fell 9.9% on year but rose 5.6% from June to 11.75 million tonnes.
Over January-July, the city sold 283.12 million tonnes of coal, down 4.5% on year, including 201.95 million tonnes from local mines and 81.17 million tonnes from Shenhua, down 2% and 10.1% on year, respectively.
In July, average coal price was 178 yuan/t ($29.1/t) in Ordos, down 16.4% on year and unchanged from June. raw coal price averaged 185 yuan/t, down 18.1% on year and stable from June.
Coal price in Ordos averaged 196 yuan/t over January-July, falling 16.6% year on year.
