Inner Mongolia Zhunge’er October coal sales down 2.4%

Zhunge’er Banner in northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region sold 20.11 million tonnes of coal in October, down 2.4% year on year, showed data from the local government on November 13.
Of this, sales from local mines—owned by the prefecture and lower-level governments and private mines—stood at 15.1 million tonnes, down 7.4% on year; coal sales from Shenhua Zhunge’er Energy Co., Ltd. rose 16.6% on year to 5.01 million tonnes.
Over January-October, Zhunge’er coal sales totaled 181.53 million tonnes, posting a drop of 6.3% on year, with sales from local mines falling 8.6% to 132.44 million tonnes, and sales from Shenhua Zhunge’er Energy up 0.6% to 49.09 million tonnes.
In October, the average coal sales price at Zhunge’er stood at 157 yuan/t, decreasing 30.5% on year and down 2.5% on month.
