Inner Mongolia key coal enterprises H1 coal output at 283 mt

Key coal enterprises at northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region – including 37 coal producers – produced 283 million tonnes of coal in the first half of the year, falling 17.5% year on year, showed data from the Inner Mongolia Coal Industry Bureau on August 19.
That accounted for 62.5% of the total coal output of 453 million tonnes across the region during the same period, said the bureau.
Over January-June, sales revenue of key coal enterprises fell 22% on year to 108.8 billion yuan ($17.8 billion), accounting for 73.6% of the total revenue from the region’s coal industry, data showed.
The output value of key coal enterprises fell 23.4% on year to 132.5 million tonnes during the same period, accounting for 80% of the total output value in the region’s coal industry.
Meanwhile, the profit generated by key coal enterprises decreased 86% from the year prior, reaching 1.91 billion yuan or 11.5% of the total profit in the region’s coal industry.
In addition, Inner Mongolia saw an obvious drop in raw coal sales price over January-June, with the mine-mouth price averaging 127 yuan/t recently, down 21.6% from the start of this year and down 23.5% from the same period last year.
