Inonesian 4200 GAR Coal Index Rose $0.12 OR, 0.44% week over week; Index closed at $27.19

Average 5000 GAR coal index of Indonesian origin rose 0.21 percent week over week to averaging $38.90 per ton on this past Friday, according to CS (i) Coal Index.

According to the CS (i) coal index, the CS 50 (5000 GAR coal) index rose US$ 0.21 per ton week on week and fell 0.03% day over day on 18 March 2016.

The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index was also up 0.12 percent week over week this past week. The CS 57 (5700 GAR coal) index closed US$ 48.64 a ton on 18 March 2016, US$ 0.36 per ton lesser than US$ 49 a ton closed on 19 February 2016.

The CS (i) Coal index is the newly established price reference for Indonesian coal. CS (i) Coal Index, contains independent, real-time price assessments. The index are based on the inputs provided by CS (i) coal index panelists on real-time basis during Indonesian office hours.

COALspot.com is publishing CS (i) Coal Index for 3800, 4200, 5000 and 5700 kcal/kg GAR coal of Indonesian Origin. A set of these four indices developed by COALspot.com is intended to help the industry to monitor the trend of coal prices on real-time basis and act as a market forecaster for active coal producers, traders and end-users.

The CS 42 (4200 GAR) index closed at US$ 27.19 per ton on 18 March 2016, US$ 0.12 Higher compared to 11 March 2016 closing.

CS 38 Index which is representing 3800 GAR coal of Indonesian origin was closed at US$ 21.14 per ton on 18 March 2016. CS 38 Index increased average US$ 0.20 per ton from last week and flat day over day.

According to CS (i) coal index’s past records, the CS 38 index sheds at least 30/16 % year over year or since 20 March 2015 to date (18 March 2016). Meantime, the CS 42 and CS 50 indices fell around 25.56% and 21.04% respectively since 20 March 2015 to date (18 March 2016). CS 57 index was slipped 18.04% year on year (since 20 March 2015).
