Continued firmness was witnessed in South African and Australian steam coal prices on March 30, largely on account of covering up operation after a steep downward correction witnessed after March 14, market sources said.
Large-scale buying is yet to emerge, but there are expectations that Indian buyers may enter the market from the second week of April to stock material for the monsoon season that will start in June, they added.
