23 Jul 2014
July 23: JSW Energy, part of the JSW Group, has recorded a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 325 crore during Q1 of 2013-14, up 52% from Rs 214 crore earned during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a release.
The consolidated net worth and consolidated debt as on June 30, 2014 were Rs 6,896 crore and Rs 9,974 crore, respectively, resulting in the debt equity ratio of 1.45 times.
During Q1, total income from operations was at Rs 2,558 crore as against Rs 2,472 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The fuel cost for the quarter was Rs 1,175 crore, higher by 11% on a y-o-y basis, primarily due to adverse movement of the rupee dollar exchange rates over the comparable period which was partially offset by a decline in the international prices of coal, the statement added.
