JSW Energy net profit drops 54.72% y-o-y

January 30: JSW Energy, a part of the JSW Group, posted a net profit of Rs 134.17 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2013, down 54.72% from Rs 296.32 crore earned during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to BSE.

Total income stood at Rs 1,548.09 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 1727.34 crore earned during Q3 of FY'13, the filing added.

On the other hand, during the quarter, JSW Energy's expenses stood at Rs 1,192.74 crore against Rs 1,192.49 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
