Jan e-auction sees moderate demand for G11

February 24: Moderate demand was witnessed in January 2015 for G11 grade (GCV 4,001 to 4,300 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CIL subsidiaries as out of the offered quantity of 670,000 tons of coal, 422,930 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,140 per ton.
However, strong demand was witnessed in December for this grade as out of the offered quantity of 500,000 tons of coal, 479,900 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,280 per ton.
In fact, very strong demand was witnessed in November for this grade as the entire offered quantity of 150,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,277 per ton.
