Imports of limestone via Gangavaram Port stood at 102,420 tons in January 2016, up 102.47% or more than double compared to 50,387 tons imported in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 10 months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), limestone imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 859,854 tons while 555,084 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

During January 2016, the entire material came in from the UAE at a unit price of Rs 1,155 ($17) per ton.
During December, the entire material came in from the UAE at a unit price of Rs 1,152 ($17) per ton.
