Jaypee may take call on pet coke imports

January 14: The Jaypee Group is exploring the option of using imported petroleum coke for use at its cement and captive power plants, a source told ICMW.
"The company is holding internal meetings and is likely to take a final call during the next two weeks or so," the source said.
"It may consider placing an order on a trial basis for a total quantity of around 50,000-70,000 tons of fuel grade petroleum coke but everything will depend on final outcome of the on-going internal assessments," the source added.
